Went to Pepperdine on an academic scholarship, grad school at UCSB. Met my wife, Sandy, at Pepperdine and we have been married for 47 years this June 28th. Taught middle school for 4 years, then served as a campus minister for 10 years at UCSB and Pepperdine. Was recruited to return to Pepperdine in 1984 and worked there for 31 years before retiring in 2015. Travelled to 76 countries in my work with international students at Pepperdine. Now live in Canyon Lake, CA in Riverside County and enjoy golfing, fishing, reading, working in the yard, walks with the love of my life, Sandy Hagaman Dawson, and babysitting grandkids on a regular basis. I donate my time to the education ministry of our local church, The Murrieta Church of Christ and preach occasionally when the minister is away.

School Story

Senior Sneak Day. Pranking the school with Ralph Dixon and others, watching Mr. Misselbrook shed a tear when he read Keats, getting my only "D" ever in typing until I purchased (along with Steve Rutlen) erasable bond typing paper and getting a better grade.

Nancy, happy early birthday. I always knew that you were younger than me. Happy, happy.

Yeah, creeping up on a daily basis, especially when I climb stairs or hills. Our 9 grandkids keep us busy. Have a great trip to one of my favorite places. Love Florence and Rome.

So sorry to hear about Phil's death in 1975. We were friends in 5th grade at Bucknall School and again in 8th grade at Castro when I returned from New York. My dad worked for IBM. Too many of us have died in car crashes.....

I met Tim and his brother Jim at Castro Junior High in 8th grade. We rode the same bus together to Blackford before coming to Westmont. I really enjoyed hanging out with Tim, Jim, and Bill Bowers as we all lived in the same community. The four of us used to invent war games in the walnut orchard behind Bill Bowers' home in 8th and 9th grade before getting involved in sports. We last talked in 2012 about a possible reunion in 2015. So sorry to hear that he has passed.

Greg, good to see you in Classmates.com. Hope you can come to the reunion in September.

Yes, Dennis, this was a fitting tribute to a wonderful young woman. I am sure that she would have been proud of what you said.

Ralph. I heard from Rhonda that you were returning to SC County from Europe on the day following the reunion. If you are not too jetlagged, Sandy and I would love to have coffee or decaf at your convenience and perhaps sing a chorus of "Hey, Look me over...."
